M.M.O.O.P!

I've noticed some minor consternation out there regarding some folks not being able to find certain Mondo Macabro titles. This has lead to wild speculation as to which DVDs may or may not be Out of Print. We changed distributors last year and the bugs are still being worked out as regards our complete catalog being available everywhere. To clear things up a bit, here's a the complete and official Mondo Macabro OOP List:

ASWANG - R Rated Cut

(Note that this is the the 'R-Rated Cut', not the 'Unrated Cut' which is still in print.)

To purchase Mondo Macabro products, you can go to TLA Cult and Diabolik DVD. If there's one you can't find at either site that's not on the above OOP list, just check around, you'll find a copy somewhere. Just don't pay outrageous prices for it. At some point, it'll get worked out and will be widely available again.

  1. How many of these MM dvds were pressed up? The Turkish Pop Cinema dvd is the only one i've got! Any chance of another Turkish release?

  2. I can't remember the quantities, but they were pretty standard numbers for niche releases. The Turkish DVD is unlikely to appear again due to licensing issues. We'd love to do more but, sadly, unrealistic expectations from "rights holders" and lack f decent materials makes that increasingly unlikely.

  3. I'm wondering when/if MM will dip their toes into Blu-ray waters, perhaps dual DVD/BD releases to please both crowds - personally I'm less inclined to buy DVD anymore and lament the fact that MM discs don't come out as Blu. If I'm gonna pay over ten quid for a disc (which MM tend to be) then I want to make sure it's High Definition!

  4. From the conversations I've had with Mr. Tombs, I'd say it's unlikely anytime soon. It's an expensive undertaking and MM titles are among the nichiest of the niche DVD market. But you never know!

  5. Jared, I think you ought to consider having a link to this post in the bar on the right so people can see it. People simply don't know you have this list of OOP titles and speculations keep popping up about what's OOP and what's not.

  6. Hi Jared,

Would you be so kind to inform me if the following titles are out of print? Please.

    - Satanico Pandemonium (NTSC)
    - Panic Beats (NTSC)

Amazon only has a few units left and I can't find them either in the retailers that you recommend.

    Thank you very much.
