More Robbe-Grillet coming in 2013!

Mondo Macabro is proud to present, for the first time ever on official DVD, 5 classic Alain Robbe-Grillet films!

Coming later this year will be TRANS EUROPE EXPRESS, THE MAN WHO LIES, EDEN AND AFTER (along with its rare alternate version N TAKES THE DICE) and SLOW SLIDINGS OF PLEASURE! These astounding and transgressive arthouse/exploitation hybrids have all been painstakingly remastered in HD. In fact, they look so nice that a BD or two may be a real possibility. No promises, but the option is there! Stay tuned for more details as they come in!

  2. The mere notion of any of these on BD is drool-inducing.

  6. Any bluray you make of these films, I'll buy.....

  7. Still haven't upgraded to Blu-ray, but as long as you can go on making DVDs as good-looking as Countess Perverse and Strip-Tease, I'm not bothered.

  8. Pete if cost is a problem bringing these to Blu Ray, how about a Kickstarter campaign like the guys at Distribpix did with their 'Opening of Misty Beethoven' release !

  9. I just know that we need something NOW from Mondo Macabro!

  10. Please release these to Blu (maybe dual releases to keep the remaining DVD crowd happy too, although there's no excuse not to upgrade). If you're doing HD masters then you may as well release them in HD too! The main reason I've pretty much stopped buying Mondo DVDs is because I find it hard to justify spending more than a fiver (UK pounds!) on a DVD anymore.

  11. Another plea for blu ray releases! These films so deserve it!

  12. It makes sense to do a dvd/blu ray combo. It's similar to record companies putting mp3 download codes with vinyl. You get both formats in one package. I would be fine paying the few extra bucks for both formats. Kickstarter's a great idea to get the ball rolling too. Then maybe we can get some past mondo macabro releases upgraded to blu!

  13. I've long since stopped buying DVDs... they're a dead format. As a former dedicated consumer of Mondo Macabro product, I've been wating for far too long for you guys to go over to Blu-Ray. What's the problem?

  14. I would happily re-purchase my whole MM collection on Blu-Ray if product existed. Other labels in this general space, such as Blue Underground, Synapse, Severin and so on are putting out Blu product. Even lowly Something Weird is finally turning Blu. But the wait for Mondo Macabro goes on and on...

  15. DVD "a dead format," LOL.

Just think, in 5 years' time everyone will be complaining why Mondo Macabro isn't putting out holographic 8K releases.

  16. Are these still on the horizon? The possibility of getting these on blu (especially EDEN AND AFTER) is unbelievable! Let us know more when you can!
